We’re starting to see the light at the end of the winter tunnel. Days are getting shorter, snow is turning to a weird, brown slush, and spring/summer collections are popping up wherever you look. To add extra anticipation to changing of the seasons, Uniqlo and Lemaire have joined forces to create the perfect warm-weather collection.

Yes, the Japanese retailer and Parisian brand have announced their second collaborative line for SS16, following AW15’s wildly successful debut. For this sophomore collection, we’re getting lightweight apparel ideal for everyday wear. With linear silhouettes, large pockets and roomy cuts, the pieces are sure to become wardrobe staples.

Featured in the SS16 collab are the season’s trending colourways: ginger, mahogany, blue/green and ash grey, with accents of deep black and brilliant white. Despite the pocket-friendly price tags, you also get premium breathable materials – seersucker, chambray and Oxford cloth – to ensure you stay cool when temperatures inevitably rise.

Highlights from the range include a two-button seersucker jacket (£79.90) and matching elastic waist pant (£39.90), perfect for relaxed garden parties and summer weddings, along with a cotton parka (£149.90) for those awkward transitional months.

There’s also a glut of 1960s-inspired pieces, including a striped, short-sleeved button-down with convertible collar (£29.90) and chino pants (£39.90), both crafted from light cotton twill. For the height of the summer heat, the pleated shorts (£29.90) and Supima cotton jersey Tee (£14.90) are sure to be lifesavers. Yet more reason to be wishing this winter weather away.

The SS16 collection will be available in Uniqlo stores as well as online from March 18, 2016.
