We’ve long been of the thinking that all-black is a move as easy as it is stylish – and it’s a lesson that also extends to your footwear, as Converse proves with its latest release.

The storied American brand has recently given its Chuck Taylor All Star ’70s the ‘Triple Black’ treatment, turning a menswear staple into a murdered-out must-have. Available in two iterations – the standard Hi and Ox shapes – these shady beasts boast higher midsole foxing and polished rubber soles for added durability.

The only flash of detail comes from the metallic silver eyelets, but even these have been treated to an all-black coating.

Fancy joining the dark side? The Triple Blacks are available from 21 July at Nike.com, priced from £65.
