Elwood Clothing built its name on one piece: the Core Hoodie, a brushed French terry staple in a vintage wash that looked lived-in from the day it arrived. That hoodie is back in stock across all four original colourways, but the bigger story is what’s joined it.
The label has just pushed its Core range wider, adding five new silhouettes designed around the same brief that made the hoodie work in the first place: honest fabrics, a worn-in finish, and cuts loose enough to actually live in.

The Core Camp Shirt ($90) is the standout addition. A boxy, dropped-shoulder button-down in a soft woven cotton blend, finished with a camp collar and contrast metal buttons, it’s the kind of piece that works buttoned to the top as outerwear or thrown open over a tee once the temperature turns. It comes in Vintage Grey and Vintage Brown.
Alongside it, the Reversed Tee ($55) takes a simple idea and commits to it: the seams are deliberately exposed, coverstitched at the hem, sleeves and neckband, and the tee is cut oversized in a lightweight linen-cotton blend built to be worn either way round.
For the transitional weeks ahead, the Corduroy Short ($95) is the more interesting bet. Cut relaxed in sun-washed 100% cotton corduroy with a distressed raw hem and workwear detailing, it’s a shout for wearing shorts a little later into the year than most people plan to.
Rounding out the drop are the Sleeveless Tank ($50) in midweight organic cotton jersey, and the Core Zip Hoodie ($95), which takes the brand’s signature hood construction and adds a YKK zip and tapered hem for a slightly sharper silhouette than the pullover original.
None of this reinvents Elwood’s approach, and that’s the point. The brand has resisted the temptation to chase trend pieces and instead built out its existing formula, sticking to the same four washes (Vintage Black, Brown, Grey and White) across the whole range. That consistency makes it easier to build a small, coherent wardrobe from one drop rather than one hero piece surrounded by filler.
Whether the new pieces earn a permanent place in the lineup the way the original hoodie has will come down to how the fabric wears in over a season, which is the real test for any brand built on this kind of vintage-wash promise. On first look, though, this is a considered expansion rather than a rushed one, and it slots neatly into a wardrobe reset for the run into autumn.
The rest of the Core collection, including tees, sweatpants, sweatshorts and cargos in the same four washes, is also live now.
