Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr will reprise his role as the face of Police for 2015, the international fashion and lifestyle brand has confirmed. The Barcelona forward will showcase the new season range of sunglasses through six images, shot by returning British photographer Rankin. He is also joined in the campaign by Mexican female model Daniela de Jesus. The SS15 collection features trend-led eyewear with the use of multicoloured acetates, transparencies and colour ways on classic silhouettes. A spokesperson for Police said of Neymar: “His talent and skill on the football pitch, coupled with his humble and humorous attitude off it, make him a figure of respect to both young and old in all continents.” Neymar himself spoke about the second campaign, adding: “For me, it was a pleasure to do this campaign again. I really liked the style of the shoot and thought the motorcycle and clothes combined well with the new sunglasses.” It was first announced in December 2013 that the 22-year-old would take over from the likes of Bruce Willis, George Clooney, David Beckham and Antonio Banderas by signing to the role. Founded in 1983, Police also sells perfumes, watches, jewellery and small leather goods in more than 80 countries around the world. The SS15 collection will begin to arrive online from December. Prices are expected to be in line with the current range which retails between £99 – £175.
