Anerkjendt Oliver Leopard Embroidered Sweater
This cheeky number from fresh Danish brand Anerkjendt is part of their first collection – which was inspired by the natural world around us. Earthy colours, familiar shapes and washed fabrics are all definitive elements of the garments. The ‘Oliver Leopard’ embroidered sweater comes in dark navy and features an allover repeating pattern of the big cat. The attention to detail is really enjoyable to see, with the camouflage of the cat actually being made up of the shiny brown/gold thread interspersed with the dark navy base. Whilst the cats have been arranged to follow lines, they do feel randomly placed – a nice form of ordered chaos that I’m comfortable with (especially if you’ve seen my bedroom). The classic sweater is the ultimate ‘throw on and forget about’ piece. Able to pair effortlessly with jeans, chinos or shorts it provides easy, versatile style for casual days. By taking the traditional sweatshirt and giving it a contemporary twist, Anerkjendt has provided the wearer with a statement piece that will have you standing out from the crowd, even on those days you don’t feel like dressing up. It is the perfect modern wardrobe staple. Impressed by this first piece I’ve come across, I’m looking forward to seeing what else Anerkjendt provide us with in the future.
