Danner Boot Collection: Autumn 2013
Danner, the boot brand with more than 80-years experience, has released its latest collection for autumn. Maintaining a workwear history that dates from 1932, the range features a selection of robust, masculine footwear styles. Each pair has been produced with the best materials available, keeping to Danner’s ethos of ‘supreme craftsmanship’. The soles have been provided by Vibram, a manufacturer renowned for creating comfortable and durable lowers. Larger shoes within the collection have an added a Gore-Tex lining to make them both waterproof and breathable. Prices for the collection range from $285 (£174) for the streamlined Forest Heights boot, to $376 (£230) for the Light Ball and Buck model. The latter features 10oz camouflage panels provided by partnering label Ball and Buck, another historic outdoor American brand. While the Danner autumn 2013 collection is exclusively made up of boots, the Oregon-based firm has also teamed up with fellow US label Woolrich in a separate venture. Between the two they have released a four-piece collection – comprising a jacket, scarf, blanket and boot – rendered in Alaska twill. Woolrich is best known for its work on the iconic parka. Both projects are available online at Danner.com, however, the brand currently only ships within the US and Canada. UK residents can visit exclusive stockists, EdgarBrothers.com.
