Jonathan Saunders x Lyle & Scott
Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders has announced a new collaboration with British knitwear label Lyle & Scott. The capsule collection, to be unveiled on 6th January at London Collections: MEN, is intended for an autumn 2014 release.
The line, which is made up of 32-pieces, pulls on Saunders’ bold colour palette and use of pattern to tie in with the golfing heritage of Lyle & Scott.
An announcement revealed that intarsia knits, roll neck sweaters, a Harrington jacket and graphic print pique polo shirts – in shades of green, red, orange and blue – make up the range. Four footwear designs also feature, including a saddle shoe which aims to continue the colour contrast theme; a reference to the patterned sweaters that made Lyle & Scott famous.
The appointment marks the latest in a more fashion forward direction for Lyle & Scott. Last year saw the hiring of young menswear talent Carolyn Massey as Head of Design. Massey’s work has previously been displayed during London Fashion Week.
Prices for the Jonathan Saunders x Lyle & Scott capsule collection will begin at £70 and top out at £275.
