Selfridges flexes its fashion muscle with the launch of its ‘Shoe Carnival’, a two-month extravaganza that celebrates and delights in all things footwear. Running from 1st March to the 21st of April 2013, the Shoe Carnival is hosted in the store’s men and women’s shoe departments – both of which boast titles of the world’s largest. A global destination for shoe lovers everywhere, the ‘Shoe Carnival’ doesn’t just offer a chance to buy the most coveted styles by the most coveted designers, no it wouldn’t truly be a Selfridges celebration without a plethora of unique and extraordinary experiences.
First up are Selfridges iconic windows, all re-designed with fun carnival themes with shoe related ties woven in:




Dates: Friday 1st March – Sunday 3rd March Experience the craftsmanship of handmade Stemar shoes, with a master craftsman demonstrating age-old techniques. Choose from a wide range of exotic leathers to create your perfect leather shoe.

Dates: Thursday 7th March – Sunday 10th March Join Harrys of London artisan to experience a bespoke workshop. Create custom colour finishes on a new AW13 lace-up style, complete with your own embossed monogram.
Dates: Monday 11th March – Sunday 17th March It’s time to ‘Tattoo Your Shoe’. With a real tattoo gun and ink, an expert tattoo artist will leave a unique indelible mark on your new Sweeney shoes with a special design or memorable date.
Dates: Thursday 21st March – Sunday 24th March Experience the unique craftsmanship of Cheaney shoes. Join the Cheaney cobbler to create your own luxury made-to-measure shoes.
Dates: Wednesday 27th March – Sunday 31st March Join Harrys of London artisan to experience a bespoke workshop. Create custom colour finishes, complete with your own embossed monogram.
Date: Wednesday 27th March, 6-8pm Join Selfridges for an action-packed evening in association with GQ, complete with exclusive services, fabulous prizes, cocktails by Lounge Bohemia and a style clinic hosted by associate editor of GQ, Robert Johnston, and Selfridges’ buying team.
