Tiger Of Sweden New London Stores

In our recent ‘Swedish Clothing Brands You Should Know’ article we shone the Scandinavian spotlight firmly down on Tiger of Sweden. Fans of the brand’s accessible formal wear will be pleased to hear they have now set up home in the UK, with a flagship store in London’s Piccadilly and a standalone store in Canary Wharf recently opening. The new flagship store takes residence within the new £500 million St James gateway development and offers an opportunity to see the brand’s extensive collection first-hand. Inside, the aesthetically pleasing, 3,500 square feet of floor space epitomises Tiger of Sweden’s ethos – which centres on bringing classic tailoring bang up to date via sharp fits and contemporary colour ways – with the grand translucent mirrors and minimalistic designs contrasting with an urban street-like flooring and rough textured walls. As for the collections on show, the store will make the traditional menswear line readily available alongside the Tiger of Sweden Jeans sub-line, which adopts a more rock ‘n’ roll approach. Although the brand does currently occupy space within leading department store Selfridges, this is the first time the full collection has been available to UK customers. From its conception in 1903 to its re-invention in the early 1990s, Tiger of Sweden is currently experiencing its highest level of popularity to date – and with an ever-expanding portfolio of standalone stores worldwide, we have no doubt there will be more UK stores on the horizon soon.
