Togs & Clogs Autumn/Winter 2013
Clothing stockist Togs & Clogs has released its AW13 lookbook. Pushing brands such as Carhartt, New Balance, Edwin, and Lacoste Live, the editorial showcases items from the store’s featured names for the season. The photo shoot, titled #JustBargin’, previews the latest collections, in and around the canals of central Manchester. Photographer Tom Cockram and Togs & Clogs stylist John-Paul Cassidy have themed the book around the lifestyle of a barge user. A potentially hostile home in the winter months, layering is prominent in the lookbook. Knitwear and sweatshirts feature heavily, often worn over the top of patterned or coloured shirts. Outerwear comes in a range of silhouettes, varying from parkas to blazers. The palette is varied, yet seasonally appropriate. Blues, greens and dark reds are all key colours as they create a subtle, natural look that is in keeping with the down to earth lifestyle. In addition to the many brands featured in the lookbook, Togs & Clogs has also included their own Archive Brogue. Coming as a result from collaboration with footwear specialist Grenson, the shoe sports a unique electric blue leather welt and waxed rolled laces – two features provided by the T&C team.
