Tusting Exclusive Bespoke Service
British leather accessories specialists Tusting are offering a bespoke service at Fortnum & Mason for two weeks only, from Monday 23rd September. The initiative is building upon a series of similar, very successful, projects in Japan (Tusting have amassed a huge following in the fashion-obsessed country) and it is the first time such a service has been offered by the brand in the UK. Tusting and Fortnum & Mason have enjoyed a long-standing relationship, so it seems fitting that this very special service is held there. The service will allow customers to personally customise three of the brand’s top selling styles: the large messenger bag, the zipped portfolio and the excursion wash bag. Customers will be able to choose between ten different styles and colours of leather, eight lining colours, three colours of metal fittings and four different thread colours. Your chosen combination will then be handmade in one of England’s finest leather goods workshops, and with over 4,000 combinations on offer you can craft a truly one-of-a-kind bag. As a final stamp of individuality, you can also opt to have your bag initialled. Tusting’s Director, William Tusting, says: “We are extremely excited to offer a bespoke option on a selection of our bags in conjunction with Fortnum & Mason. This is the first time we have offered a bespoke service within a major UK retailer having previously experienced success with similar projects in Japan. We’re looking forward to seeing what fantastic bags can be created by customers and are very proud that we can now offer this very exclusive service here in the UK.” Tusting’s bespoke project will run from Monday 23rd September to October 7th 2013 and is housed on the third floor of Fortnum & Mason, London (near the Christmas shop – definitely a perfect gift contender).
