Baartmans and Siegel has officially announced its footwear collaboration with Kickers. The news comes a little over a week after the styles debuted at London Collections: Men.
The London-based menswear label, which was the focus of another collaboration at the fashion event, this time with River Island, has created a total of four pieces based on Kickers’ Stargeant model.
One boot and one shoe, both in two colour ways, will be made available when the line launches next year. They all feature mixed leather bodies as well as a mock leather stacked heel and embossed reptile skin effect finish.
A joint statement from the Anglo/Dutch duo said: “The Stargeant perfectly complements the themes of utility, ‘controlled rebellion’ and adventure that are prevalent throughout the Baartmans and Siegel SS15 collection.”
The use of navy blue and moss green furthers the hard wearing utilitarian theme, delivering a military-inspired look.
It is the first time the former Viktor & Rolf employees have ventured into footwear.
Clarks has previously collaborated with the likes of Wood Wood, Paternity and Ronnie Fieg. The Baartmans and Siegel x Kickers footwear collection will launch at independent retailers in spring/summer 2015.
Prices are currently unconfirmed, however shoes from Kickers’ previous collaboration with Christopher Shannon retailed at £200 a pair.
