Council Estate Backdrop For New Season Images
Young fashion label Bellfield has released its AW14 lookbook, revealing a new working class angle to its branding with inspiration taken from council estate life. The images – which feature padded jackets, oversized outerwear and sweatshirts – have been shot in front of a high rise block of flats. Denim has been modified for the AW14 season, with new fits and vintage washes being introduced to the range. Meanwhile, knitwear details such as twisted and Fair Isle stitchings, Scandinavian jacquards and 3D textured patterns deliver a Nordic-inspired look. Founded in 2012, the menswear arm also sells swimwear, shoes and accessories via stockists including ASOS, Selfridges and Footasylum. Earlier this year bosses announced they intended to double the number of independent stockists the brand currently has to 300 over the next two years. Famous names to be have been seen wearing the brand include actor Warren Brown and musician Newton Faulkner. The AW14 collection is available to buy online and in select stores now, retailing between £15 for t-shirts and £150 for jackets.
