Iconic Italian Label Recruits World’s Best Paid DJ

International DJ and music producer Calvin Harris has been named as the new face of Emporio Armani eyewear and watches for spring/summer 2015.

Rising up through the ranks over the last few years, Harris not only topped the Forbes Best Paid DJ list this year, coming in with an estimated annual income of $66mil, but has now also raised his profile in the style stakes.

The Armani campaign, by renowned photographer Boo George, was shot in Los Angeles and will be launched in January 2015. Collaborating with Harris, the label is looking to cement its heritage of being at the forefront of the relationship between music and fashion. The SS15 campaign comes off the back of a number of Armani sponsored music events and a series of mixes by other DJs.

Speaking on Harris’ appointment, Giorgio Armani said: “Calvin Harris is a truly cosmopolitan, dynamic young man who is capable of attracting the masses with his music and energy. He isn’t a model by nature, and this creates a more sincere and engaging bond with the public”.
