Footballer Releases Sixth And Biggest Loungewear Range
August will mark the launch of David Beckham’s sixth Bodywear range for H&M. The 39-year-old former England captain has been showing off the AW14 collection for the high street brand in a series of images. The new round of the best-selling line is expected to be the biggest to date, with a number of new pieces being welcomed into the fold. Checked pyjama bottoms, wool-cotton mix long johns, chunky knit cotton boot socks and beanies now feature alongside underwear, t-shirts and shorts. Successful SS14 designs have been carried over, in colour blocking and stripes in cobalt blue, black and grey. Speaking about the follow-up to his recent collection for Belstaff, Beckham said: “These new pieces for my Bodywear range at H&M have a real energy about them.” “I genuinely enjoy the creative process with H&M and we have had fun this time playing with colour and texture. I hope people like them as much as I do,” he added. A focus on cold-weather pieces opens up doors for more summer-specific items in SS15 if Beckham continues the deal he has held since 2012. Earlier in the year, the father-of-four, described by Tommy Hilfiger as “the underwear model of the century,” announced the addition of swimwear to his self-titled brand, available now. Price points remain unconfirmed. However, SS14 kicked off with tops at £9.99 and three-pack boxers at £19.99. David Beckham’s AW14 Bodywear collection will be available in all H&M stores that carry menswear and online from 21st August.
