Open, the new British menswear fascia launched by JD Sports earlier in the year, has released its SS15 lookbook exclusively through FashionBeans.
The budget retailer, which claims to offer a “no-nonsense approach to modern menswear”, has focused on key trends as well as wardrobe staples for the new season through four mini-ranges.
Geo Sport comprises lightweight outerwear such as Harringtons and bombers alongside printed t-shirts in geometric patterns and checks shirts. Meanwhile, Indigo Blues feature a selection of skinny jeans, printed shirts, jersey basics, and textured sweatshirts in an all-blue color palette.
Botanic is made up of heavily patterned leaf-inspired pieces, including shirts and t-shirts. Finally, Palm Springs contains summer color ways – pastel pinks, mints, and lilacs – pale denim washes, surf graphics, tie-dye, and bleach effects.
Footwear and accessories – which to date have included formal and casual boots and shoes as well as bags, hats, belts, and socks – also pick up on the individual themes.
A spokesperson confirmed staple price points will remain low, in line with the debut offering. T-shirts currently retail from £5, knitwear from £18, denim from £20, and outerwear from £30.
Since launching in September, the business has opened stores nationwide in Manchester, Brighton, Bury, Leeds, Northampton, Stevenage, and Hanley. A further four are planned in Leicester, Merry Hill, Glasgow, and Bristol before the end of the year to build on last month’s e-commerce debut.
The Open Menswear SS15 collection will be available to buy from early next year. Pieces from the Geo Sport and Indigo Blues ranges are scheduled to drop in January and February, with Botanic and Palm Springs set to follow in March and April.
