Mauro Grifoni Pre-Fall 2014 Lookbook

One of Italy’s best-known brands, Mauro Grifoni has released a three-minute video to coincide with its pre-fall 2014 collection. Released late last month, the teaser lookbook, shot by FashionTV, focuses on leather, knits, three-piece suits and on trend patterns.

The news comes not long after the brand opened its womenswear concession in Harrods – the first time the brand has been available to buy in Britain – with menswear expected to follow.

Jason Mraz’s ‘Make It Mine’ plays in the background while the video jumps between shots of white t-shirts and checked button-downs before ending up on a model wearing a black three-piece suit.

Sticking primarily with a neutral palette of white, grey, black and blue the clothing ranges from plaid checks and dark-colored trousers to leather and bomber jackets.

Grifoni, along with business partners Ilaria Sesso and Andrea Breda, started the brand in 1992, focusing on handmade shirts designed with traditional craftsmanship. The 1990s saw its line evolve to include more pieces, before adding womenswear in 1997.

Today, the label not only produces men’s and women’s collections but also M. Grifoni Denim, sportswear, accessories and a children’s line.

Grifoni remains the menswear creative director, while Sesso holds a similar role on the womenswear end.

Though stores may not display the pre-fall collection until later in 2014, the latest pieces are available online at TheCorner.com.
