Menswear Range Inspired By Monochrome
Casual wear label Original Penguin has launched a new capsule collection inspired by a monochrome colour palette.
The 18-piece line comprises an update of some of the brand’s classic pieces in contrasting black and white tones, paired with lettered motifs and houndstooth prints.
Key items in the range include the Earl Polo Shirt, which comes in a mix of tonal black and white shades, finished with contrasting piped edges to create “a minimalist and contemporary look”.
The Earl one-pocket t-shirt has been produced in a pique jersey mix and features divided colour-blocked sections and Original Penguin logo embroidered on the pocket.
Additionally, the Duo merges two of Original Penguin’s designs, with the tipping of the 55 Polo on the silhouette and pique fabric of the Daddy model.
The release of the monochrome collection follows on from the launch of a ten-piece collaborative line with retailer Scotts Menswear last month, which celebrated the store’s 30th anniversary.
A capsule collection inspired by mixed paisley prints also saw a release in August, alongside a British gent-inspired range called Gentleman’s Attire.
The Original Penguin Monochrome Collection is available now in Original Penguin stores and online. Prices start from £30 for t-shirts and £60 for polo shirts.
