US Label To Fight Chill With Outdoor-Ready Range
US brand Penfield continues to prepare wearers for life in the open with the launch of its AW14 collection.
The new range – which features t-shirts, shirts, jumpers, hoodies, trousers and both light and heavy outerwear – references the label’s history with several returning pieces.
Multiple parka and jacket styles have been updated with new fabrics, fits and features to maintain a focus on “utility, strength and durability”.
Meanwhile, new additions include a down-insulated shirt and faux fur lined jacket. Elsewhere, accessories comprise hats, beanies, scarves and bags.
Designers at the firm have incorporated a classic mountaineering colour palette alongside new hunting prints and technical details such as bonded zips and external nylon pockets.
Newly released lifestyle images, shot by London-based photographer Mattias Bjorklund and styled by Stephen Monaghan, deliver layered looks with a series of shirt, jumper and coat combinations.
The brand said in addition to including both classic and contemporary pieces the new range has been developed to “translate across environments and individual styles”.
In March this year Penfield began a repositioning strategy which will see it move further towards becoming a lifestyle brand, starting with the launch of a SS14 accessories range.
The AW14 collection is available to buy online now, priced from £27 for t-shirts up to £450 for down-insulated outerwear.
