Suede Trainer Collaboration Celebrates Swedish Design Collective

Swedish trainer retailer Sneakersnstuff has teamed up with design collective 10-gruppen as part of a three way collaboration to give the Puma Suede a Scandinavian makeover.

Produced in Puma’s Japanese factory, the mini-collection is made up of the Birgitta, Ingela and Tom, each crafted in colourful fabrics from Swedish design house 10-gruppen.

The featured palette revolves around black and white colour ways with added flashes of blue, arranged in a mix of line, dotted and brushstroke prints.

To mark each brand’s involvement, each shoe carries the trio’s logos on the tongue and inner sole, in addition to Puma and Sneakersnstuff heel stamps and a gold name marker on the side.

Sneakersnstuff says the collaboration is a tribute to the legacy of 10-gruppen: an independent brand which started out in the seventies with ten founders who sought to push against the minimalist aesthetic of Sweden at the time.

An accompanying video highlights the origins of each involved, leading up to the most current collaboration.

Over the past year, other classic Puma styles have been re-imagined as a result of collaborations with Brooklyn We Go Hard, House of Hackney and McQ by Alexander McQueen.

The Sneakersnstuff x 10-gruppen x Puma collection is available in the UK via Sneakersnstuff’s London store and online. Each pair is priced at £149.
