London Area To Host Menswear Showcase
The St James’ area of London is gearing up to host a series of back-to-back pop-ups throughout November and December, including a dedicated menswear showcase the week before Christmas.
Taking place on Jermyn Street, the initiative will focus on luxury British brands, kicking off with lifestyle gift label Atlas & I and taxidermy artist Kay Doble from 17th to 23rd November, followed by English Sparking Wine company Nyetimber.
Running alongside permanent residents Thomas Pink, John Lobb and Alfred Dunhill, the organisers plan to use the final run up to the festive period to highlight menswear.
Between 15th and 23rd December the space will host Fourth & Main, Hamilton & Hare and Tusting as well as recent collaborators Alice Made This and Marwood.
Fourth & Main co-founder Nikhil Adwalpalkar said: “The opportunity to set up shop on one of the world’s premier streets is one we are delighted to have. Our products have been influenced by many of the brands that call Jermyn Street home.”
It has also been announced that grooming business Murdock London will run a men’s grooming lodge, selling colognes, skincare and grooming accessories, at 192 Piccadilly from 17th November. Meanwhile, jewellery from London-based designer Jacey Withers will be on display at a unit in the Princes Arcade.
Head of the St James’s portfolio James Cooksey, said: “We’re delighted to offer these pop up opportunities in St James’s to so many exciting, emerging brands which provide a complementary offering to that currently available on Jermyn Street.”
It comes as part of The Crown Estate’s £500m investment in the area, of which it owns approximately half.
Cooksey added he hopes it will enhance St James’s reputation “as a destination for quality and eclectic retail”.
