Tourne de Transmission x Hudson ‘Fades’ Collaboration
Tourne de Transmission is hoping the use of pony hair in its latest collaboration with Hudson will be a runaway success. The young London-based label has partnered with the footwear specialist to produced two mixed-fabric styles for its new Fades series of hi-tops. The recently released mini-line also incorporates Moc Croc in an attempt to combine classic design with unconventional fabric use. While the Sand Pony model features mainly pony hair, with the addition of suede distressed leather accents, the Black Croc version utilises matte suede and leather to enhance the patent animal detailing. A transparent sole lends a retro feel to both variations and acts as a reference to the nineties influence of the trainer silhouette. Founded by Graeme Gaughan in 2011, Tourne de Transmission has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years. The Hudson collaboration is the second footwear partnership for the firm, following on from a successful spring/summer 2013 project with Swear London. The Fades range is available to buy now on the brand’s webstore. Both styles are priced at £150.
