Streetwear label Carhartt WIP has gone in for another round with Californian skating brand Vans, producing a simple striped range for spring/summer 2015.
Taking its name from Carhartt’s iconic ‘Hickory Stripe’ print, the collection is “inspired by the fast-approaching summer season”, updating Vans’ Chukka and Classic Slip-On silhouettes in fresh shades of navy, turquoise and white.
Along with footwear, the line also includes a tote bag and bucket hat in matching seaside tones – perfect accessories for those summer trips to the beach.
Carhartt makes its presence felt by applying a branded badge to the front of the hat and bag, while its logo and signature orange stripe are seen on the inside of both the shoes and accessories. Meanwhile Vans’ trademark branded tag and heel stamp remain on the footwear designs.
This isn’t the first time Vans has offered up some of its classic silhouettes for a makeover this year, collaborating with New York-based Supreme in March and Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy back in January.
The Carhartt WIP x Vans Hickory Stripe collection is available now in Carhartt stores and online, with prices starting at £40 for the hat and £80 for footwear.
