Hailing from St. Petersburg, Russia, designer Gosha Rubchinskiy is currently having a major menswear moment. An rising star within the industry, we’ve already introduced you to his carefully crafted jogging bottoms earlier this year. As well as showing his own eponymous label as part of Paris Menswear Fashion Week, he’s been lending his progressive, sportswear-inspired aesthetic to some of the high street’s biggest brands. He’s just styled and photographed the ASOS Spring/Summer 2015 Lookbook and now, he’s delivering his second collection for California skate brand Vans. Comprising two iterations of Vans’ iconic Slip-On shoe, the line sees a rising sun graphic applied to the cotton canvas upper of each design, which come in black and red colour ways. Last season’s collaboration saw Rubchinskiy create an all-black version of the brand’s Old Skool model – now though, the burgeoning talent has added a pop of colour to the range with a bright band of blue around the rubber sole. Vans’ signature rubber edging, padded ankle support and branded heel stamp complete the design. This latest team up marks a new year of collaborations for the skating label, which partnered with Taka Hayashi, Liberty Art Fabrics and Supreme in 2014. The Vans x Gosha Rubchinskiy spring/summer 2015 collection is available to buy now at Vans, priced at ÂŁ80 a pair.
