Under The Influence
You may already know menswear photographer and blogger Jonathan Daniel Pryce (aka Garcon Jon) for his acclaimed 100 Beards book. Part of FashionBeans’ street style collective, we highlighted Daniel Pryce as a Menswear Influencer You Should Know last year, and it seems 2015 is only set to get bigger for the burgeoning talent with the announcement of his recent collaboration with Original Penguin. Under The Influence is a specially commissioned series of portraits designed to celebrate the casual brand’s Vintage Gym collection – a limited edition capsule of Americana-inspired sports attire. Capturing four different London-based professionals – where they exercise, play sport or generally work out in – the portraits showcase the clothing in the type of environment it’s meant for. Phil Green, a Private Client Executive for online luxury retailer Farfetch.com and one of the four young talents photographed, is devoted to dressing well, but he’s also hooked on tennis. “I used to want to go professional, playing at county level and training with the U14 Great Britain team,” he told Daniel Pryce. “I still love the sport and now it’s getting the recognition it deserves.” You can check out the rest of Jonathan Daniel Pryce’s Under The Influence portraits and interviews here or shop the Original Penguin Vintage Gym collection here, prices start at £25.
