London’s shopping scene is constantly changing, with new temporary stores popping up (literally) across the capital every week. From innovative menswear stores to street food feasts, Londoners are often spoilt when it comes to new and exciting places to add to their social calendar.
Yet while there are so many fresh places to earmark for a visit, limited opening times and obscure locations can mean that many exciting events disappear before you’ve had the chance to experience them for yourself.
That’s why we’ve rounded up the best London pop-ups for discerning fashion fans to visit this summer, so you don’t miss out on a minute of the action.
Waven Pop-Up Store, Soho
British denim label Waven has garnered popularity at lightning speed over its short lifetime, already being stocked by the likes of ASOS, Topman and Urban Outfitters. The brand’s latest venture marks its first ever physical presence, opening a pop-up store in central London for a limited time.
The Waven pop-up has been created in partnership with Daniel Peters, creative director of BBSClothing, offering a selection of its menswear and womenswear lines alongside guest brands Mulo, Sidian Ersatz, Vanes and more.
The store is also hosting a series of denim workshops, allowing customers to individualise their denim pieces in addition to learning the art of patchworking and illustration.
Visit the Waven pop-up shop at 3 D’Arblay Street, Soho, W1F 8DH, until June 10.
Dockers Flannels For Heroes Pop-Up, Shoreditch
American label Dockers’ latest pop-up store is a charitable affair.
In the lead up to a fundraising cricket match and garden party taking place on June 19, the Flannels for Heroes store will stock Dockers’ spring/summer 2015 collection, with 20 percent of select purchases going to the Walking with the Wounded and Combat Stress charity.
Expect check shirts, summer chinos and the brand’s signature casual pieces, all in the heart of Shoreditch’s popular shopping district.
Visit the Dockers pop-up store until June 20 at 3 Charlotte Road, Shoreditch, EC2A 3DH.
Oakley In Residence: London Cycling Pop-Up, Finsbury
If you’re a city cycler, this pop-up is definitely one to add to your to-do list. Sporting label Oakley has embraced cycling this summer, opening a creative space just north of the city centre.
Free and open Wednesday to Sunday every week, the pop-up offers a schedule of workshops, exclusive exhibitions, film screenings, athlete meet ups and cycling adventures with some of London’s top cycling collectives.
As a real life manifestation of Oakley’s ‘ONE OBSESSION’ campaign and #LiveYours movement, visitors are encouraged to share their passion for the sport with like-minded individuals, all while enjoying a diverse range of activities.
Visit the Oakley in Residence cycling pop-up at 37-39 Exmouth Market, London, EC1R 4QP, until late August.
Haeckels Of Margate At The Ace Hotel, Shoreditch
You’ve got plenty of time to visit this grooming pop-up, with its doors open at East London’s Ace Hotel until September 30. Offering natural products from the seaside town of Margate, visitors can experience a selection of coastal delights, ranging from skin care to fragrances.
Founded by a Kent local in 2012, the brand makes use of the 6000 to 7000 tonnes of seaweed that is washed up on Margate’s beaches every year, proving itself an innovative and ethical label. Its love for natural resources is strengthened through an in-store window installation, which sees a projected seaweed animation move and grow every time someone passes by.
Visit the Haeckels of Margate pop-up store at the Ace Hotel, 100 Shoreditch High Street, Shoreditch, E1 6JQ, until September 30.
The Basics Store, Shoreditch
Another pop-up catering to fragrance fans is set to grace the Shoreditch district this summer, opening up on nearby Redchurch Street. Skip past the women’s basics and you’ll find a range of stunning unisex scents from luxury label Avery Perfume Gallery inside this pared-back concept store.
Usually catering to the customers of Mayfair, Avery will be bringing its range of versatile, cutting edge scents to the East End, along with a wider variety of unisex products from the likes of Agonist, Roads, Santa Eulalia and more.
Visit The Basics Store from June 13-July 13 at 30a Redchurch Street, Shoreditch, E1 6JL.
