If you’re a fan of well-made British shoes, then you’ll know Grenson doesn’t play around. For the last two and a half centuries the heritage firm has turned out some of the most hard-wearing (and stylish) on the market. Keeping pace with change, 151 years after its inception the manufacturer has released its first ever trainer collection. Designed by the brand’s creative director, Tim Little, the range of Italian-made leather, suede and nubuck styles is a far cry from Grenson’s usual finery, but the level of craftsmanship and quality remains the same. Alongside sleek minimal low-tops with colour-pop accents sits tactile chukka-style mid-tops and bright retro vibe runners, all in a range of colourways. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but it seems you can teach it new kicks. Available at Grenson, priced from £195.
