BlackBerry KEYone

Apple’s iPhone didn’t spell the end for BlackBerry (just BBM pins). To the contrary, the Canadian tech company’s new release – the KEYone – is making waves on the smartphone scene thanks to a full HD display, goliath battery life and the ability to shoot video at 4k resolution. It’s not over yet.

Loewe Bild-9

For anyone that declares a widescreen to be gauche, simply point them in the direction of Loewe’s Bild-9. The German tech company (not to be confused with the Spanish fashion house) has released a handsome art deco-inspired TV that’ll add culture to even the most ardent couch potatoes. A striking solid steel frame, 7mm OLED screen and invisible wiring paints a very pretty picture indeed.

Microsoft Surface Laptop

Despite the constant innovation, woeful battery life still pains the tech world. Which is where Microsoft steps in. The US giant’s latest touchscreen laptop weighs just 2.76lbs, making it perfect for remote working, while offering a mammoth 14.5-hour battery life. You’ll never have Netflix (sorry, spreadsheets) suddenly die ever again.

Mecaquartz watches (a hybrid that pairs the cost and accuracy of quartz with the artistry of mechanical models) are still very much a hidden treasure. Luckily, young brand Autodromo has struck gold with this sharp example that makes use of the little-known mechanism and pays homage to the racing world with a red and white colour scheme lifted from the Porsche Salzburg.

Mendl’s Is The Best Print

No longer confined to the cutting room floor, would-be film posters can now find a home in yours. This artistic reimagining from 2014’s The Grand Budapest Hotel will hit the sweet spot in any front room, referencing lobby boy Zero Moustafa’s favourite bakery (and Wes Anderson’s signature style). That’s a wrap.
