The Idle Man Varsity Scarf
If you’re like us, you’re probably still mourning the beer garden. But look on the bright side, the dip in temperature means you get to go shopping for scarves like this varsity-style one. Kitted out with navy and burgundy stripes, it will make you look like you attended an Ivy League school in the 1930s. And that can only ever be a good thing.
Marks & Spencer Recycled Wool Suit
If you haven’t already stocked your wardrobe full wool for the season ahead, ewe’ll want to do that fast (sorry). Helpfully, Marks & Spencer has launched a range of suits blended with recycled cuts of good stuff to coincide with Wool Week 2017. Woven at a family-run mill in Italy, sustainable fashion never looked so smart.
Boohoo Man x Rae Sremmurd Jacket
The budget-friendly bunch over at Manchester’s Boohoo has enlisted the talents of Atlanta rap duo Rae Sremmurd (that’s ‘Ear Drummers’ backwards, if you didn’t know) for a 25-piece collection. But with prices starting from as little as £6, you’d better sharpen your elbows to snap it up.
Coach Delancey Watch
Calling all palaeontologists (and just generally stylish men), we’ve possibly found the watch of your dreams. Since last autumn, luxury American brand Coach has been celebrating its Rexy mascot, putting him on everything from bags to jumpers and hats, and now you can find him front-and-centre on this dino-mite timepiece.
Topman Khaki Twill Tapered Chinos
Yeah, alright, we know you’re sick of us banging on about how great it is to dress like you’re in the army. But hold fire, because it is, and for that reason, these khaki tapered chinos from Topman are still worth bringing to your attention.
Clae Bradley High Tops
LA-based footwear brand Clae is best known for whipping up the kind of pared-back sneakers that usually come out of Scandinavia (albeit without the triple-digit price tag.) As well as being damn handsome, the supple black leather on these hi-tops means they’ll stay clean all season long.
Tourne de Transmission Blind Track Jacket
London label Tourne de Transmission started out making band T-shirts but gradually took on a more streetwear lean. And we’re glad it did, because the result is pieces like this tactile track top, finished with a chunky zip.
Tommy Jeans Colour Block Cap
Tommy Hilfiger is embracing all things nineties with Tommy Jeans 4.0, a capsule collection of classic American sportswear with a distinct football terrace twist. And if that sounds confusing, it’s basically a line-up comprising all the cool AF colour-blocked kit you need.
Tom Ford Leopard Print Pocket Square
Celebrating ten years of his eponymous brand, Tom Ford has designed an exclusive capsule collection for Mr Porter. But if all that is a little too, err, Tom Ford for your wallet, there’s plenty else on offer, like this roarsome pocket square.
H&M Slub Jersey T-shirt
It’s not often that you get the chance to earn your stripes for less than a tenner. Jumping on the trend for up-down lines, H&M’s slub jersey T-shirt is the ideal way to add a pop of colour under a black bomber jacket.
Dune x Kit Neale Holdall
Ever looked at a packet of trout and thought ‘that’d make a cool pair of shoes?’ Yeah, us neither, but London designer Kit Neale has, and decided to try it out through a footwear and accessories collaboration with Dune. The results, we have to say, are anything but fishy.
Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang Hoodie
There’s a strong sense of rebellion in the world of sports right now; so much so that even Alexander Wang is getting involved. Teaming up with Adidas for a second season, the US designer has continued to flip the famous trefoil on its head and turn the iconic stripes inside out for his latest 36-piece range.
River Island Stripe Panel Long Sleeve Polo Shirt
Who cares if you weren’t there the first time, the seventies are back in a big way. Just look at this polo shirt from high street hero River Island. Those stripes aren’t just there for show, they’re also really flattering, too.
Michael Jackson Socks
Halloween is fast approaching, but before you take a pair of scissors to your bedsheets, considering doing things a bit more subtly this year. Hosiery brand Stance is paying tribute to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ by releasing a limited edition selection of socks that aren’t sartorially frightening in the least.
Uniqlo U Backpack
Achieving the seemingly impossible task of making its basics even better, the Uniqlo U collection is back for another round. The range designed by ex-Hermès boss Christophe Lemaire is packed with the usual assortment of ace knitwear and shirts, but this time it also includes next-level sneakers and rucksacks, like this one.
ASOS Recycled Vintage Jeans
Taking classic blue jeans and turning them green, ASOS has launched its first ever recycled denim collection. Part of a pledge to only use sustainable cotton by 2025, these vintage style kecks were produced using 623 fewer litres of water. That’s about 3,115 cups of coffee (or 14,833 tequila shots).
Tumi x Russell Westbrook Travelling Kit
Terrific travel brand Tumi is hoping for a slam dunk from its collaboration with Oklahoma City Thunder Point Guard/2017 NBA MVP/all-round stylish guy, Russell Westbrook. The smart five-piece luggage collection comes in red (tick) camouflage print (double tick), scoring multiple trend points this season.
Urban Outfitters Burgundy Velour Panel T-shirt
Just so you know, this season the texture of your clothes is almost as important as the way they look. But that doesn’t have to mean going all-out in corduroy and fleece (though both are excellent options). You can also keep things simple and tactile with a velour T-shirt instead.
Despite only just launching (sound the new brand klaxon and all that) contemporary street-inspired label Mennace has already won an army of fans including rapper Che Lingo and menswear blogger Joel Mcloughlin, aka Gallucks. Give it a few months and we reckon you’ll be seeing its oversized hoodies and elevated basics everywhere, so get in there early.
