British streetwear label Chunk are internationally renown for their unique prints and high quality products. Founded in 2001, Chunk have built a solid reputation in the men’s streetwear market due to their humorous approach to design and premium construction.
Chunk’s characteristic prints have distinguished them from the rest of the streetwear scene, and their trademark twists on familiar pop-culture icons – from Star Wars to Warner Brothers (all of which are licensed) – are instantly recognisable.
However, there’s more to the brand than just their prints. Quirkiness alone is not enough to build a successful business, and it is the superb quality of their tees that has ensured the brand’s longevity and rising popularity. This ethos and focus on quality has since transferred to their new range of sweatshirts, which naturally sport the same trademark prints.
In 2008 Chunk began producing a unique range of sportswear for the emerging urban sport of ‘Hard-court Bike Polo’. Chunk integrated themselves within the bike polo community, going on to sponsor the 2009 European Hard-court bike polo championships in London and the 2010 world Hard-court bike polo championships in Berlin.
They also sponsor several teams from around the world, including: The Guardians (Seattle), Dead Rappers (London), Los Angeles Bike Polo Club (USA) and Monkey Punch (Germany).
Chunk releases four new lines every year. Two seasonal collections for their graphic tee and sweatshirt range, and two seasonal collections for their bike polo range, which includes jerseys, knitwear and, naturally, polos.
The combination of characterful prints, high quality pieces and streetwear chops make Chunk an essential addition to any streetwear aficionado’s wardrobe.
