Mark McNairy x Heineken
When it comes to designer collaborations, one might not think that beer would make the best design partner. However, this season American designer Mark McNairy has joined forces with Dutch-brewed Heineken to create two limited edition colour ways of his signature chukka saddle boot. McNairy collaborated with the international brewing company as part of the #Heineken100 program, helmed by creative director Chris Gibbs. The duo came together to mix McNairy’s distinct style with the laid-back flavour of Heineken. Each boot features a bright Heineken green sole, white laces, black weld, white eyelets and a pebbled leather upper. Coming in two distinct colour ways: all-black and two-tone white/black, the former has a contemporary feel due to the on trend contrast sole whilst the latter is a throwback to the sock hop era. “This is Heineken’s second year partnering with the fashion visionary, Mark McNairy, for our coveted ‘#Heineken100’ program,” said Belen Pamukoff, Brand Director of Marketing, HEINEKEN USA. “Mark McNairy has provided Heineken with not only a progressive take on classic men’s fashion, but a signature collaborative product that is exclusive to the brand.” No matter an individual’s beer preference, these shoes are a must-own for men looking inject a pop of colour into their shoe collection this season. Unfortunately, like all of the project’s collaborative products, they are exclusively available to the one hundred individuals on the #Heineken100 list.
