Spencer Hart x Austin Reed
Savile Row patriot Spencer Hart is to team up with British ‘luxury for less’ label Austin Reed, to release a collection that is due to be released in February 2013. Comprising solely of menswear, the collection will encapsulate the ethos from both brands – providing high-end tailoring at affordable prices. Under the name of ‘AR RED Nick Hart’, the range will closely follow the Austin Reed RED line style, which is described as the sleeker, more modern side to the brand. Nick Hart is the lead designer behind Spencer Hart and will be putting his personal name to the collection. Hart’s influences stem from the British music scene in the 70s and 80s – particularly soul, funk and jazz. Shawl/peak lapels, refined tailoring, slim-fits and silk detailing are just some of the many key ingredients define a signature Hart garment. This collaboration will hopefully be one of many for the two houses. To give you a taste of what might be in-store, we have received some preview images of the collection below. Combining some more casual pieces with the signature sleek tailoring are what gives this line, and also the brand, the edge it does in today’s market.
