British Belt Co. x J&E Sedwick Collaboration

Two classic names in leather wares are to team up in a collaboration that sees over 180 years of experience come together. The British Belt Company and J&E Sedgwick have announced plans to work together to create an exclusive line of bridle leather belts. Showcasing both brands’ dedication to homegrown manufacturing, the collaboration will be 100 per cent hand-crafted in The British Belt Company’s UK factory. Each example will feature sturdy brass buckles and be available in six colours: London tan, black, Havana brown, green, red and navy. Sedgwick’s highly skilled curriers have been producing bridled leather – which refers to the way in which the material is finished at the tannery – for the equestrian market since 1900. The brand has honed its unique method of hand staining and treating the leather with a blend of oils, fats and waxes for over a century. The British Belt Company produces a range of leather and tweed accessories, including bags and wallets as well as belts. Part of Arnold Wills & Co., the brand is a flagship in the family owned manufacturer, which still resides in England’s smallest county, Rutland, where it was established over sixty years ago. Due to the exclusive nature of the collaboration, only a limited number of belts will be made available online and at selected retailers from the end of February, priced at £75.
