Patrick Grant Returns To Debenhams
High-end returns to the high street as Debenhams welcomes back Patrick Grant for a second season. The multinational retail chain confirmed the designer has agreed to come on board for a follow-up to the highly successful Hammond & Co. range. The Savile Row-based tailor, who has been running things at Norton & Sons since 2005, racked up huge success with his debut collection, which launched last spring. The direction and aim of bringing in Grant to head up the line was to blend the formal tendencies the Scot is renowned for with some innovative-yet-throwback casual elements. Taking influence from movie star fashion of 1940s and 1950s Hollywood, shoppers can expect a continuation of the initial run’s single-breasted suits, relic neck wear and patterned shirts. Bespoke footwear, jumpers, cardigans, coats and jackets are also expected to make an appearance. Celebrated as much for the price ranges as it is for the quality; the return of the Hammond & Co. line to Debenhams is good news for the high street, which continues to battle designer names.
