Tailoring Brand Uses Tweed For British Feel
Tailoring brand Holland Esquire has unveiled its collection for AW14, inspired by the English countryside, using tweed to withstand the colder weather. The range comprises suit jackets, waistcoats, fine knitwear and outerwear. Details include hacking pockets, elbow patches in classic country tweeds velvet collars and all-over star prints. The company said these create a collection with a truly British feel. Holland Esquire mixes traditionally British fabrics with bright pops of colour on linings, buttons and stitching. Jackets are cut to a slim-fit, with the AW14 collection pairing signature paisley with a blazer in earth tones. The brand was founded in 2001 by tailor Nick Holland who continues to design and oversee every aspect of the collections. Many of the fabrics used are specifically designed and unique to the label, with all products made in limited quantities to ensure exclusivity. Prices for the AW14 collection start from £395 for blazers and £390 for outerwear. It is available direct online and from retailers throughout the UK, including Flannels.
