Jamie Redknapp To Promote Avon Cosmetics
Former footballer Jamie Redknapp has been selected as the UK face of Avon Cosmetics’ Elite Gentleman fragrance range.
The father-of-two will promote two scents, Elite Gentleman and Elite Gentleman Untailored. As part of the deal the 40-year-old’s image will feature on Avon brochures and across its online shop.
In representing Avon, Redknapp will join other celebrities who promote the cosmetics brand, including American actor Patrick Dempsey.
“I’m really excited to be working with Avon,” said Redknapp. “Men aren’t able to accessorise an outfit in the same way that women can, so scent is a really important part of finishing off the look that I’m going for.”
“The Elite Gentleman range is perfect for me – modern, sophisticated and stylish fragrances that can take me from day to night and it’s great for when I finish work in the studio and go to dinner afterwards. It’s a really modern and stylish fragrance,” he added.
Redknapp is the son of Queens Park Rangers’ Manager, Harry Redknapp, and the cousin of Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
Following stints as captain of both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, Redknapp retired from professional football in 2005. He now writes a sports column for the Daily Mail and is a pundit for Sky Sports.
Avon is one of the world’s largest cosmetics companies. An approach based on direct selling sees self-employed sales representatives visiting consumers in their homes.
While Elite Gentleman is already one of Avon UK’s best-selling male fragrances, Elite Gentleman Untailored will launch in May 2014 with a Father’s Day package.
Elite gentleman, which features notes of juniper, rich cardamon and refined woods, is available now priced at £13.00 for a 75ml eau de toilette spray.
