Denim Business’ Clothing Range Makes UK Debut
Levi’s California Collection has become available to shoppers in the UK for the first time as a part of an exclusive deal with branded fashion chain Urban Outfitters.
The denim giant’s sixties-inspired line, identifiable by its white sundries such as zips, buttons and pocket patches, contains shirts, overshirts, sweatshirts, jackets and jeans. Fabrics include made in the USA Pendleton wool, Byrd cloth and cotton-wool red-casted blended denim.
It is being stocked by the retailer’s Marble Arch, London, store in addition to other newly added locations in Belgium, Germany and Sweden. It follows an international roll out that already includes the US and Japan.
Levi’s senior merchant Matt Blackmore described the influence of the American state: “California has developed its own aesthetic, style and mindset, all of which have never been as relevant as they are today. The state embodies so many aspirational things – from skateboarding and climbing, to beaches and surfing, and now tech start-ups and innovation.”
Urban Outfitters’ men’s brands buyer, Kris Babet, added: “We are thrilled to welcome a collection from Levi’s so engrained with authenticity and style, which naturally marries with the unique passion for vintage and fashion shared by fans of Urban Outfitters.”
The AW14 collection from Levi’s California is available to buy from select Urban Outfitter stores and online now. Prices range from £75 for shirts to £250 for outerwear.
