Singer Creates Clothing Line With Menswear Brand
YMC has allowed Bat for Lashes member Natasha Khan to turn her hand to fashion in a new collaboration. The British label has worked with the singer to create an exclusive SS14 range, the first project of its kind for the brand, which was founded in 1995. The menswear offering is made up of T-shirts (ÂŁ65) and sweatshirts (ÂŁ100) in two prints designed by Khan herself. A seventies inspired all-over motif has been produced in both a sunset colour and black and white theme. In a statement, Khan said she was drawn to YMC as “a small British family based company,” which lead to the “freedom and natural development” of the project. An updated schedule for the upcoming London Collections: Men highlights a move by YMC from its provisional time of 4pm on Tuesday to 9am on Sunday. This means the brand has bumped Lou Dalton from the opening slot for the first time since the three-day fashion initiative started. YMC has previously collaborated with the likes of Goods By Goodhood, Clarks Originals, and Liberty. The Natasha Khan for YMC collection will go on sale at the label’s stores on Poland Street and Hanbury Street, as well as online at MatchesFashion, from 6th June.
