Mid-Top Trainers Take On Exotic New Look
Nike has revealed it looked to warmer climates when plotting its latest upcoming release, previewing a jungle makeover of its Mid Premium Vintage Blazer trainer model. The sports brand’s Blazer Safari collection ventures “deep into the wild,” using animal prints, skin effects and tribal colours across three styles. The designs are intended to represent different aspects of the jungle such as a preying feline, reptiles and swinging vines. Materials and details used include full grain black leather with leopard print pony skin, mahogany nubuck with snakeskin accents, and camouflage underlay with green TPU overlay. All three feature the iconic Swoosh logo on the uppers as well as Nike on the heel, a vulcanised rubber sole and contrasting laces and stitching. A statement from the brand said the look of each the trainers “ties the collection together, illustrating the entangled environment of the jungle itself.” The first drop from Nike‘s Blazer Safari collection will roll out via Nike‘s online store and select Nike stores on 11 October, with the snakeskin shoe following on 17 October. Each pair is priced around £60 at current exchange.
