Sports Firm Teams With Four Brands

Puma has brought weeks of teaser images to a close by revealing full details of its upcoming multi-store collaboration. The firm has allowed four international brands to update one of its top football boots in a street-inspired makeover. Bape, Colette, Alfie and Kith have all produced a limited run version of the evoSpeed model, to be released over four consecutive weeks this month. Originally launched last year, the Puma boot is constructed from mix of light, fitted and flexible fabrics to enable “a quickness of movement,” and has been seen worn by strikers across Europe. Japanese-based Bape, the first to release, has opted to cover the shoe in its signature camouflage. Meanwhile, NYC-store Kith has design the evoSpeed using a set of metallic navy and red scales. Boutique brand Alfie took inspiration from urban graffiti to create its box logo repeat print. Finally, Parisian name Colette has used a blue and white gradient with elements of red, a reference to the French national flag. Each boot features the collaborator’s motif on the tongue and will ship with a co-branded boot bag. A number of joint football shirts will also be on offer to round out the range. The limited edition evoSpeed designs will launch at each partners’ stores, in select sportswear retailers and online weekly from 4th July. Retail prices have been confirmed to start at ÂŁ200.
