Premium Brand Releases Debut Suitcase Range

John Lewis has taken stock of the first ever luggage line from Ted Baker.

The news comes just days after FashionBeans reported the premium fashion brand had moved into audio accessories with a range of headphones and speakers.

The four-piece Take Flight collection features hard-sided lightweight suitcases, with a 360-degree wheel system, combination lock, and telescopic handle.

In addition to the birds of prey print on the compartmentalised interior of every model, the men’s arm takes inspiration from its own tailoring ranges.

Herringbone patterns have been used across both the navy and grey the glossy frames, with the wheels designed to resemble shirt buttons.

Earlier in the week, outerwear brand Ma.Strum also confirmed it was rolling out a line of men’s bags.

Ted Baker, which beat Loake and Jeffery-West to pick up Men’s Footwear Brand of the Year at the 2014 Drapers Footwear & Accessories Awards, appears to be expanding rapidly; having recently opened its 33rd store in Glasgow.

Each style is available in three sizes — carry-on, medium and large — staggered in price at £250, £275 and £295.

The Ted Baker Take Flight luggage range is available to buy now in store and online via John Lewis now.
