British retailer French Connection has given us a taste of what to expect later this year, revealing its autumn/winter 2015 menswear lookbook.
Utilising a predominantly monochrome palette, the line brings together a mixture of plain and printed pieces in heavyweight textures for the colder months, with a distinct focus on knitwear and outerwear.
Transitional stripes and oversized houndstooth patterns lead in the prints department, coming in soft shades of grey, navy and white, while a sports luxe aesthetic shines through courtesy of padded nylon jackets and a range of vibrant backpacks, each adorned with tonal ‘F’ branding.
Along with the brightly coloured bags, a burger printed sweatshirt and a T-shirt emblazoned with ‘FCUKER’ prove the standout pieces of the collection, nodding to French Connection’s logo heavy past.
However, the two sides of the range are brought together by the brand’s quest for comfort, with a wealth of thicker, more luxurious fabrications ensuring “that pieces feel as good as they look”. See the label’s plush, fleece-back sweatshirts for proof.
Look out for the full French Connection autumn/winter 2015 collection when it launches in stores and online this July.
