Move over Global Hypercolor (sorry if you were born after 1991, you won’t get that one), colour-changing fashion is back.

Sounding like something cooked up in a laboratory (or a zoo) rather than a design studio, Asics has just dropped a Chameleoid sneaker pack that changes appearance depending on which angle you view it from.

As the name suggests, the pack draws inspiration from the shape-shifting lizard, using a revolutionary stretch mesh fabric to flip between green and red colorways.

The lightweight and breathable material has been applied to two classic Asics models: the Gel-Runner and Gel-Kayano Trainer Evo. Both sit on top of a white midsoles with additional pops of ‘Green Gecko’ on the tongue and heel branding.

Perfect if you happen to be an indecisive sneakerhead.

The Asics Chameleoid Pack is available at Hanon, priced from £79 for the Gel-Lyte Runner.
