Converse has – yet again – got another massive collaboration under its belt, with the latest coming in association with world famous virtual band Gorillaz. This series of limited edition trainers is to coincide with the Gorillaz 10th anniversary retrospective album “singles collection: 2001-2011”.
Award winning designer and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett has designed the exclusive prints – incorporating elements from their ground breaking artwork.
Based on the classic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette, the collection will consist of four different styles, all inspired by the band.
The particular design that we have managed to get a sneak peak at is the camouflage print All Star. This military inspired print has been taken from the album cover of Gorillaz self titled début album. All the trainers from the collection contain a Gorillaz heel tab and hangtag, with the lining showcasing intricate illustration detailing.
These kicks are not due for release until February 2012, and will be available at retail stores and Converse online.
