Converse x John Varvatos Metallic Snakeskin-Effect Trainers
Landing at Mr.Porter this week are the Converse John Varvatos Metallic Snakeskin-Effect Sneakers. For those don’t know, John Varvatos is an American contemporary high fashion menswear designer who has worked for prestigious brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.
This is not the first time Converse and John Varvatos have joined forces, having produced a collection back in 2001.
For this collaboration we see the classic Converse Star Player silhouette mixed with an edgy rock and roll design.
The trainer has been constructed with a leather effect black and silver faded snakeskin to give a somewhat vintage feel to the overall aesthetic. Other details include the classic Converse off white rubber cap toe and sole, black tonal laces, star appliqué, branding to both the back heel tab and tongue – and finished off with an ‘All Star’ print to the under sole.
These trainers are the epitome of cool; pair with your favourite pair of slim/skinny fit jeans, a simple tee and leather jacket for an overall effortless and edgy look.
To get your hands on a pair head over to Mr.Porter or Converse now.
