British boot maker Grenson have over 120 years experience in producing the finest quality men’s footwear, and this season they have teamed up with another British menswear label – Heritage Research – to release a collection for the autumn/winter 2911 season.
This star studded collection features two long wing brogue style shoes. Both of these superb pieces of footwear benefit from being bench made using premium leather – ensuring the shoe’s aesthetic and comfort only improve over time with wear.
We’ve tried to pick our favourite out of the two designs but failed miserably as both styles are real eye catchers.
The Long Wing Brogue in tan leather is a sophisticated shoe; with its mix of fabrics and contrasting colour palette. By combining waxed leather with natural nubuck, it creates a feel of premium quality and subtle distinguished style. Featuring punched brogue detailing, waxed leather laces and a Goodyear welted sole, these brogues are perfect for formal wear but would look equally as stylish dressed down with a pair of slim jeans.
The Long Wing Brogue in Navy Codovan is still a refined shoe but the main reason we can’t keep our eyes off of it is simply down to the richness of the colour. By producing the shoe in a striking navy shade instead of the traditional brown or black tones, it has given the brogue a contemporary twist. The silhouette is similar to the Long Wing Brogue – only differing slightly by sticking to one colour for the entire body of the shoe and featuring contrasting white coloured leather laces, which really stand out against the darker navy body.
