YMC x Lewis Leathers
This autumn/winter 2011 sees great east London brand YMC team up with Lewis Leathers – the fine makers of flying and motoring leather goods since 1892 – to collaborate on a series of outerwear. The collaboration consists of two different styles of jacket which were inspired by two classic and most popular Lewis Leathers designs.
The Lightning Jacket, known as the ‘Punk Rock’ leather jacket, has previously seen its share of the limelight – being worn by famous rockers such as The Ramones, The Sex Pistols and the Clash. The jacket has been reproduced exclusively for YMC in a British Millerian Wax Cotton and is available in four colour ways; ranging from the classic timeless navy and black versions, to the more adventurous colour palettes of yellow and red.
Features include: various zip pockets to the front and sleeves, as well as zip cuff and adjustable waist to give a more accurate fit.
The other jacket in the collection – The Black Arrow – is classic three quarter length jacket, made from the same material as the lightning jacket. However, it is only available in black. Again, features include zip front pockets, a detachable belt for a more snug fit, and a striking contrasting red quilted lining.
The collection retails between £450-£495 and is available from YMC now.
