AllSaints Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection
AllSaints autumn/winter collection has arrived, blending smart tailoring with rugged casualwear to create a sophisticated wardrobe that is less whimsical than previous collections, yet retains AllSaints’ fashion-forward styling.
As with any range for the colder months, outerwear is a big focus in the new collection. Smart coats in a range of hard wearing fabrics provide plenty of ways to prepare your smart wardrobe for the colder weather, but the real standouts are the casual jackets. Allsaints’ flair with leathers is again apparent, as biker and bomber jackets are brought to the forefront of seasonal fashion with impeccable cuts and sheepskin detailing – a fur collar biker jacket with double breasted fasten stands out.
Colour is also used to great effect: from a dull dark wash that could allow the casual biker jacket work as a great smart alternative, to a deep red leather number that could be the statement piece you need for the season. If leather is not your thing, a denim jacket in a fantastic cut and a camouflage winter jacket keep your options open.
Tailoring and a generally smarter aesthetic play a big role within the range. Cropped and drop crotch pieces give way to jeans and trousers cut smart and slim, whilst layering with t-shirts and knitwear, as well as versatile blazers, retains the dressed up aesthetic. Shirting is available in both classic and on-trend styles – such as horizontal stripes and camouflage prints.
Footwear is traditional for the season: boots in both military and patent leather styles are prominent yet bolder options, such as the bold oxblood monkstraps, are available for those that want to make a statement.
AllSaints’ autumn/winter 2012 collection showcases the new, more mature, style that the brand has been leaning towards recently. Using a solid tailored base to showcase key pieces, the range possesses substantial style and is sure to lead the way into the coming season.
