It seems as though we’re seeing an influx of gorgeous leather jackets on the market at the moment; firstly with the Vintage Renewal Leather Biker Jacket we showcased to you last week, and now the Drought Leather Biker Jacket from high street favourite AllSaints.

The Drought Leather Biker Jacket is one of the first releases from the brand new AllSaints SS12 menswear collection. However if you invest in this piece of outerwear you will definitely get your money’s worth – as the timeless and versatile jacket will offer use all year round (thanks to our unpredictable British weather!)

Coming in brown, this slim fitting leather jacket incorporates many of the same features seen on classic biker jacket silhouettes; such as an asymmetric front fastening and exposed zip pockets/cuffs. However, the key detailing and contemporary twist that made this jacket stand out to us here in the FashionBeans office come in the form of the quilted panels, which are featured across both the front and back of the shoulder area.

Another factor that only adds to the appeal of this now must have item is the distressed creased finish the jacket has been given in order to produce a vintage aesthetic. To create this effect the jacket has been tumbled and heavily hand burnished over the edges. It really does give the jacket a ‘lived in’ appearance from the start, adding to the character of the piece and allowing it to seamlessly integrate within your existing go-to looks.
