Men’s jewellery is often a hard sell; after all, it takes a man comfortable with his masculinity to dare wear any form of shiny trinket. Many of the stigmas associated with jewellery are so deep rooted that they will never change – however Aoúd’s collection of bracelets and necklaces may help to reassess these archaic views.
Jewellery doesn’t have to be feminine, a fact clearly demonstrated by Aoúd. The brand has managed to develop a range that harks back to ancient times, with many pieces incorporating natural stones with silver and brass, whilst the mixture of individually shaped seeds and tassels adds a rustic touch to both the bracelets and necklaces.
There’s a universal theme to the pieces featured below, with the intricately produced pendants blending together various cultures and lore. A fairly dark palette is prominent throughout much of the collection, helping produce a brooding touch and keeping the overall aesthetic chic and classic.
Clearly there’s no feminine connotation connected to this Aoúd’s jewellery. In fact, I envisage the collection to be that of a Roman-warrior (if they were permitted to wear jewellery). Surely nothing is more manly that that?
